DR. MARIA BALAGTAS, DDS
Dr. Maria Balagtas or Dr. Marcy is known for her gentle and creative touch. She enjoys helping each of her patients to improve their health, appearance, and self-esteem by creating the smile of their dreams, hence maintaining the health and function of their teeth, gums, and bite. Dr. Balagtas’ paramount goal for each patient is to educate them and for the patients to be able to put what they learned in practice for lifetime dental health.
Dr. Maria Balagtas earned her Degree in Dentistry at Centro Escolar University in 1987 where she completed her training in General Dentistry. Dr. Balagtas began practicing in California in 1998. She has been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 2001. She became an International Associate for Orthodontics in 2004. Dr. Balagtas has also been an active member of the American Dental Association and California Dental Association, and Southern California Filipino Dental Society. She has completed various courses in the University of Southern California including Advanced Esthetic Dentistry Continuum and Esthetic Implant Restorations. She was acknowledged by United Concordia because of her Outstanding Service as a Participating Dental Provider since 2001. Dr. Balagtas has also been certified and has completed the Standard Proficiency Course for Dental Laser Education. She has been certified for completing the Implant Training Course by the Apsun Implant Dental Research in Feb 6, 2010.
Advanced education and continuing dental study allows Dr. Balagtas to offer her patients a very superior dental experience and, an unparalleled level of quality care with the use of the latest techniques and technologies along with her personal sensitivity and gentle touch. She regularly attends various study clubs and dental community meetings to update herself on the latest practice technology and trends in dentistry.
Dr. Balagtas’ academic track record and sincere commitment to her patient’s well-being shows her excellence in everything she does. She always offer her patients the most optimum service that she can provide. She continues her commitment to the local and church community by attending various community and church activities and is active in developing aid and dental education for her hometown community in the Philippines.
OUR ASSOCIATE DENTISTS AND STAFF
Dr. Debbie graduated in Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines in 1994. She also acquired some clinical courses in Loma Linda University. She has been practicing Dentistry from 1999 until present. Dr. Debbie finds Dr. Balagtas’ office to be well-equipped with state-of-art technologies, without compromising comfort for the patient. Dr. Debbie has also been received her Standard Proficency Certification for Dental Laser Education June of 2011.
WHO WE ARE
We are a general practice that focuses on gentle, old-fashioned chairside courtesy mixed with modern technology in dental care. Our brand new, state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology available. We utilize digital X-Rays, intra-oral cameras, and the latest in teeth whitening techniques. Each of our operatory room is equipped with computers, which allows for the advanced digital imaging and patient charting using top of the line dental software. Our practice utilizes composite (tooth-colored) fillings in contrast to the amalgam (silver) fillings. We proudly offer treatments for gum diseases and other soft tissue anomalies thru CO2 Laser (an equipment only a few dentist in the region has) which allows less bleeding during surgery and treatments and much faster healing time. We also follow and utilize the latest and updated guidelines in sterilization and infection control. We also provide our patients with Sleep Apnea and Oral Cancer Screening.
